A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of Geneva, Dr. Auréa Alioth completed her entire training within the Neurology Department of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), where she earned her FMH specialization in neurology and worked for many years as a chief resident.
She has developed particular expertise in movement disorders (such as Parkinson’s disease, atypical parkinsonian syndromes, essential tremor, dystonias, etc.), neuromuscular diseases like myasthenia gravis, neuroimmunological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, as well as headaches and epilepsy.
Dr. Auréa Alioth holds two postgraduate certificates from the Swiss Society of Clinical Neurophysiology (SSCN) in electroencephalography (EEG) and electroneuromyography (ENMG). Eager to further expand her skills, she has also trained in the administration of botulinum toxin injections for neurological indications.
Starting in September 2025 at the Centre Médical du Lac, Dr. Alioth will be available to provide patients with comprehensive and specialized neurological care.
